What is the difference between LCD and LED TV and which is much better?

Initially, the entertainment instrument was TV but now it was replaced by LCD and LED. Because In the beginning LCD and LED were not made, it was made by modifying the TV.

I think there is hardly anyone who has not seen the TV. So,  the next generation of TV is LCD and LED. Today I will tell you The Difference between LCD and LED TVs and How LCD and LED works.

At first, the TV was designed and manufactured but later on changes were made gradually and LCD was made. As the TV consumes more light and did not show the screen well. I make it clear that some good company made good TVs but the people did not like them so much.

Gradually LCD starts coming on the market and the people start forgetting the TVs. As the demand for the LCD increased steadily, then the company again made some changes and they made the LED.

When it comes to buying the TV, there is a lot of choices in the market. We get confused about which TV is good. So it is important for you to make it easy for you to first decide what kind of TV you want. It will be very easy for you to decide if you know these basic difference between LCD and LED TVs.

What is the Difference Between LCD and LED TV

LCD (Liquid-Crystal Display)

LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) is a flat-panel display in television, and it was developed by George H. Heilmeier, who was an Electric Engineer.

In 1960, he tried to make a screen display by making some changes to the TV. In which the crystal was used and Screen display is produced. And the developed screen was thin and lighter than television cathode ray tube (CRT i.e. TV) and also it consumes less light than TV.

It uses light-modulating properties of the liquid crystal to allow screen light to stop or pass it. Each of them creates a small piece of crystal image and together creates a very clear image. And crystal is usually called pixels, by changing or decreasing the electric current, the color and transparency of this image can be changed.

LCD screen consumes less electricity than a normal screen. When the pixels get stuck and come between the screen layers they create a black spot on your screen, which is impossible to remove.

And the risk of breaking the LCD screen is also high, usually, it is propagated about the screen that it is stronger than PLAZMA TV. But the LCD screen is also Breakable.

Red, Green and blue colors are used in the LCD display. LCD is used in the Monitor, TV, panel of devices as well as in many devices also it is used in common life, but their price is slightly higher.

LED (Light-Emitting Diode)

LED TV is a new form of LCD, besides its picture quality is strong and its life is also high. Because LED (Light-Emitting Diode) screens have been used only with their own LCD technology.

But there is a difference that these bulbs are slightly smaller than those that are lit by light-emitting diodes instead of being lightened with fluorescent bulbs. But they are more capable than fluorescent bulbs.

This means that for the same quality pictures, the LED screen is often much slim than the LCD screen, it consumes less energy and their panels are also slimmer than the LCD. LED Display is brighter than LCD display and It has a better contrast.

The LED is of two types,  Direct LED and the Edge-Lit LED. Direct LED means it provides more great ways to help you to display brightness and darkness of the screen.

EdgeLit LEDs are lightened with the help of small diodes on the edges of the screen. And they are light as compare to the direct LED model. It uses the cold cathode technique, and in this, the lid technology is being used in addition to this, the same technique is also used in TVs, notebooks, mobile phones, DVD players and video games etc.
